ADMISSION D. PHARM.

Program Overview

This is a 2-year fundamental pharmacy program after the 12th to train the students to play an important role in hospital pharmacy, community pharmacy and assist in pharma sector at various levels. The program has been designed as per the regulations of the Pharmacy Council of India. It will enable students to practice the pharmacy profession in a strong, skillful, and determined manner.

Abbreviation: D. Pharm.
Duration of the program: Two Years (Full Time)
Pattern: Yearly
Medium of Instruction: English
Award of the Degree: Certificate of Diploma in Pharmacy shall be granted after passing both the levels and satisfactory completion of practical training.
Examination Authority: Maharashtra State Board of Education (MSBTE), Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Program of study: The Program of study for Diploma in Pharmacy Level-I and II (First and Second Year) shall include the subjects as per PCI curriculum. In addition, there shall be a five hundred hours of practical training spread over a period of not less than three months is compulsory

Eligibility

  1. The Candidate should be an Indian National;
  2. Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate
    Minimum qualification for admission to Diploma in Pharmacy- A pass in 10+2 examination (science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics; or any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the above examination; or Maharashtra Karnataka Border area as notified by the Government of Maharashtra, and also whose mother tongue is Marathi.
    Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes candidates in accordance with the instructions issued by the State Governments administrations as the case may be from time to time.
    Note: Other than Maharashtra State Candidates shall be eligible for Institution quota only.
  3. NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, Foreign National.
    pass in 10+2 examination (science academic stream) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics. OR Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the above examination.
  4. As per the policy of the State Government; for unaided minority institutes 51% of the sanctioned intake seats shall be filled by minority students from within the State, belonging to the linguistic minority – Gujrathi, based on inter-se merit through Centralized Admission Process Round-I (CAP -I).

Selection Procedure

  • Admission for the D. Pharmacy course is done through Centralized Admission Procedure (CAP), by the Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (Maharashtra State).

  • Institute has surrendered the management quota to the government therefore all seats are admitted through CAP only.
  • Admissions against the vacancy are filled by the institute strictly on a merit basis as per guidelines.
  • The institute will invite applications for the available vacant seats by giving publicity in the leading newspapers. Aspiring candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria should apply directly to the Principal of the institute.
  • Students admitted through the CAP round are eligible for scholarships given by the Maharashtra state government.
  • Only Minority candidates are eligible for Minority scholarships.

Fee Structure

As per Fee Regulating Authority Approval, Annual fees for A. Y. 2022-23 is ₹88000.

Fee concession

Fee concession will be applicable for SC/ST/NT/SBC/OBC/EBC/TFWS category as per the rules mentioned in the DTE admission information brochure for the candidates who are admitted through CAP rounds only.

Important instructions:

  • Board Eligibility Fee / Exam Fee / Enrollment Fee etc. will be charged later as determined by the Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai.
  • In order to get the scholarship through the government, it will be the responsibility of the students to fill out and submit all the related documents on the website of the government department within the time specified by the college. Without it, the student will not be eligible for the government scholarship.
  • The said scholarship will be applicable as per the government decision published by the Maharashtra government from time to time.
  • If the student is non-eligible for the above scholarship provided by the government, the said student will have to pay the entire college fee
  • Admission fees will be accepted only through online mode.

Cancellation

Admission cancellation process and fees refund will be strictly as dictated by DTE norms.
