The role of the pharmacist is expanding beyond the traditional product-oriented functions of dispensing medicines and health supplies to more patient-oriented, administrative, and public health functions. Parallel to this with the emergence of newer pathological conditions and mysterious causative agents involved in it, comes an extended role for pharmacists to identify and discover new drug molecules. In this ever-changing and ever-advancing environment in the knowledge of pharmaceutical science, we in this organization teach our students the latest and up-to-date knowledge in the various subject areas in pharmacy.

With this vision, the Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) has extended its wings to establish a state-of-art Pharmacy institute - SVKM’s Institute of Pharmacy in the heart of Dhule.

Through its excellent infrastructure and an arsenal of highly qualified and dedicated teaching and administrative staff, the institute aims to deliver to society a set of excellent pharma professionals with a blend of professionalism and a sense of social responsibility. We set very high standards for education to achieve academic excellence.

Furthermore, we also believe in nurturing and inculcating extracurricular talent in students which we achieve through motivating our students to participate in various intercollegiate, university-level, state, and national-level events and competitions. Since the establishment of this college, we are focusing on the rigorous development of the college into the best research-oriented institution in India.

Faculty members have excellent research track record that includes patents, research papers published in international and national journals of repute. Institute keeps organizing several guest talks/workshops, pool campus drives every year. The laboratories are well-equipped with the latest equipment. The library houses standard reference books besides e-books and journals.

We strongly support and guide students to participate and present their work at various national and international conferences to get exposure to the ever-changing and advancing fields of pharmaceutical sciences. Our college has a dedicated NSS unit that provides community services for the promotion of the pharmacy profession by organizing blood donation camps, book donations, tree plantations, etc. Students are regularly involved in social activities to promote health care and the well-being of the public. Institute has framed Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) approved by the Ministry of Education (MoE) which inculcates critical thinking and design thinking into budding graduates.

The training and placement cell at SVKM provides them ample opportunities in the field of pharmacy or management through campus interviews from renowned National and Multinational companies along with the appropriate guidance for higher (post-graduate and doctoral) studies through our institute’s career guidance cell.
